What causes OEE? OEE is also commonly known as lateral epicondylitis and tennis elbow. But very few patients with this condition play tennis. Healthy people develop this problem for no known reason. It tends to arise in middle age, between the late 30’s and the early 60’s. Even with no treatment, the problem usually goes away on its own in one to two years. An x-ray may show some extra calcium, and an MRI may show fluid at the starting point of the painful muscle. This fluid is often described as a “tear,” but OEE is not an injury. We do not know what causes these changes to arise during this period of life. Questions? × Help Heeft u hulp nodig bij het invullen van de keuzehulp? Of heeft u vragen over de keuzehulp?
