Surgery

What does this mean?
During the surgery your doctor realigns the fracture and keeps the fragments in place with a metal plate and screws, or with metal wires. The incision for the plate is placed on the under surface of our wrist. The incision will leave a scar. After surgery most people use a splint for a few days or weeks for comfort.

During surgery you can be asleep or your arm can be made numb. Discuss this with your doctor.
