All figurines together represent 100 patients with an infected, non-healing diabetic foot wound like yours. The green figurines represent patients who had at least part of their foot remaining. The red figurines represent patients who ended up with an amputation within a year.

50 out of 100 people with a foot infection similar to yours will have an amputation of the foot within a year. Healing takes on average 9 months and patients have around 2.5 surgeries.
